Bric-a-Brac

The single letter story challenges I’ve participated in recently have reminded me of a television series shown when my children were small.

Called Bric-a-Brac it was set in a junk shop and in each short episode the owner (played by the wonderful Brian Cant) would give an alliterative monologue based on a letter of the alphabet while delving into the shops contents to provide material for a further tale.

It always ended with the junk shop owner winding up a different tin toy every episode to operate while the the credits ran.

It was a charming programme even for me as an adult sitting watching it with my children. Does anyone else remember this gem (was it ever shown outside of the UK)?
